Principal Officers

John A. Gilbert, P.E. John A. Gilbert, P.E. 
is a Principal Officer and founder of GeoInsight and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the States of Maine, New Hampshire, and Ohio and the Commonwealths of Pennsylvania and Massachusetts. He has over 20 years of experience in providing environmental engineering consulting services to industry. He has managed numerous remedial projects for industrial and uncontrolled hazardous waste sites with scopes that included hydrogeologic investigation, bench-scale and field pilot-study testing, feasibility studies, design, and remedial action. These projects were performed under the federal Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA or Superfund), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), RCRA Corrective Action programs and similar state regulatory programs. He has developed strategies to accomplish these projects in a technically practicable and cost-effective manner and has negotiated regulatory agency acceptance of these strategies. He has also managed a substantial number of permitting, auditing, and compliance projects for industrial, Department of Defense, and RCRA hazardous waste facilities. Mr. Gilbert received a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in Chemistry from Williams College in 1978 and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Tufts University in 1980. He has been a licensed Professional Engineer since 1984.

Brian D. Kisiel, P.G. Brian D. Kisiel, P.G.
is a Principal Officer of GeoInsight and has over 20 years experience in the environmental consulting industry. As a Senior Engineer, he specializes in evaluating and implementing remedial strategies to address impacted soil and ground water. He has participated in numerous response actions under State regulations throughout New England and he is experienced at formulating site closure strategies in accordance with the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP). Mr. Kisiel has conducted and supervised field activities, including underground storage tank (UST) removals, boring and monitoring well installation programs, surface and ground water sampling, remedial system installations, and compliance monitoring. Mr. Kisiel's current responsibilities include development of site compliance/closure strategies, evaluation of remedial options, design and cost estimates, interaction with clients and regulatory personnel, peer review, and business development. Mr. Kisiel received a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 1977.
