MANCHESTER, NEW HAMPSHIRE

SENIOR COMPLIANCE MANAGER / LEADER

A senior-level manager to lead our Compliance Management group and to support compliance related projects
at our Westford, Massachusetts and Manchester, New Hampshire offices.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and training to junior level staff; managing all aspects of auditing, air emission and wastewater discharge permitting, waste management and other compliance related projects; expanding work with the existing client base and developing new business. The position requires a candidate with experience in identifying, winning, and leading environmental compliance projects and a demonstrated desire and ability to lead other professionals.

The senior manager will manage an array of client relationships and contracts that may include complex, multi-disciplinary projects in environmental science and engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for business development, technically excellent service and work product, presentations, planning, scheduling, budget management, and training and mentoring of junior staff.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressively increasing responsibility and experience in compliance management, 5+ years in consulting preferred
  • Demonstrated experience representing business before the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and one or more of the state level environmental regulatory agencies in New England is required
  • Understanding of key regulatory agencies with specific knowledge of rules and regulations in the following areas are required:
    • Resource Conservation and Recovery Act
    • Clean Water Act
    • Clean Air Act
    • Toxic Substances Control Act
    • Emergency Planning & Community Right-to-Know Act
    • Wetlands issues (i.e., U.S. Army Corps of Engineers)
    • Department of Transportation
    • ISO14001 Environmental Management Systems
  • Professional Engineer, Registered Environmental Manager, Certified Environmental Auditor, Certified Hazardous Material Manager Certification, a plus
  • Sound verbal and written communication and presentation skills required


REMEDIAL ENGINEER

We are seeking a Remedial Engineer with 8 to 15 years of environmental/remedial engineering experience.
A Professional Engineer registration is highly desirable.

The successful candidate should have a strong work ethic, respect for taking on responsibility, be willing to work on a wide range of engineering and remedial projects, work well independently as well as part of a team, and be mature and motivated to perform high quality work.


GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER / PROJECT MANAGER

We are seeking a mid-level geotechnical engineer with 6 to 10 years of experience focused on geotechnical projects, but able to participate in other civil and/or environmental disciplines.

Qualifications:
  • site investigations design and correct interpretation of conditions
  • applicable work experience related to appropriate foundation support selection
  • the ability to design geotechnical solutions
  • report preparation and preparation of technical specifications
  • must have familiarity with forensic evaluations
  • experience with use of geosynthetics and other ground improvement systems
  • the ability to manage multiple projects
  • proven technical writing and communication skills
Additional favorable qualifications include familiarity in applying regulations, a Professional Engineer registration, and the ability to assist in winning new projects.

Seeking an entry level Environmental Scientist/Geologist.

With substantial autonomy, assumes responsibility for project management activities relative to field investigation programs and development and oversight of remedial measures for a variety of soil and ground water projects. Will collaborate with other team members to give assignments and will solicit advice from senior team members for assistance on advanced regulatory/compliance issues and business development.

To be successful in this role, qualified candidates should possess the following:
  • 4-7 years experience in same or similar role with proven written, analytical and interpersonal skills;
  • Bachelor’s degree in geology, earth science, environmental, engineering, or related discipline;
  • working knowledge of Connecticut regulatory agencies;
  • the ability to successfully manage multiple competing tasks within budget and time constraints;
  • current affiliation and networking abilities with one or more professional associations;
  • current 40-hour HAZWOPER certified; and
  • strong knowledge of Microsoft Office® products.
